The Bible says in order to be saved from the consequences of your sins you must be born again. That simply means to repent (turn from sin) and make Jesus your Lord and Savior (surrender all to Him).
It's easy to understand, but few choose this path. Without being born again, you will receive the full consequences for your sins and will be denied entrance into Heaven after you die, instead facing eternity in Hell.
